The good thing about living in D.C. is that there’s always an event, protest or rally that you can shoot.
These video and photos are from a small protest outside of the D.C. office of Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker. I shot both the video and photos with my new Nikon D7000 with a Nikkor 18-105mm lens. I was primarily shooting stills so I only grabbed a few minutes of video to test it out.
My first impressions 0f the camera is that I’m going to love it. The audio was actually better than I expected, though investing in some external microphones is a top priority. It would be nice if the D7000 had the articulating screen that comes with the Canon 60D, but that was the trade-off for Nikon’s 39 auto-focus points and the sturdier body.
