The ghosts of Gettysburg
I went to Gettysburg National Military Park last week for a photo shoot with landscape photographer A.D. Wheeler. Unfortunately, it was a rainy, chilly, miserable morning. We didn’t get the moody fog that we were hoping for or even a decent sunrise. However, I did get a chance to take some photos of some Civil War re-enactors who had camped out in some old-style, period tents — no gore tex or water-proof fabrics here, just soggy canvas.
These guys were portraying members of a Union regiment from up-state New York. Unfortunately, I didn’t write down their info but they said their unit had actually fought at the Battle of Gettysburg, the bloodiest battle of the Civil War.
